Description
Signal repeater instrument No. 1. An internal label states that it was made in 1942 by Tyer & Co. Identical to NMM:2018.4.37. Signals 1 & 2 controlled access from The Albert Quay coal wharf to the GNRI metals to Newry. The signals couldn’t be seen from the King Street lever frame. These instruments were acquired by the donors in August 1964 from signalman George Walker, as the Albert Quay branch was out of use.
